We have officially renewed our Government Climate Active certification, proudly reduced our carbon footprint by 18.8% from 2024 to 2025, and continued to achieve our goal of being 100% green powered for our office tenancy. All further demonstrating Stanton & Stanton’s deep commitment to sustainability, ethical leadership, and collective progress.
In addition to achieving carbon neutrality through our robust carbon-reduction strategy, we continue to invest in high-impact carbon credit projects to offset our remaining emissions. In 2025, we expanded our investment to include the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve in Borneo, Indonesia, and we will continue investing in 2026.
The Rimba Raya project does more than protect carbon sinks, it nurtures an entire ecosystem. Carbon financing from Rimba Raya supports critical initiatives including micro-financing programs for local entrepreneurs, literacy and scholarship programs for children, community health initiatives such as a floating clinic, clean water access projects, tree planting campaigns, and the installation of solar power systems. It also provides crucial protection to endangered species like the orangutan and the proboscis monkey.
Importantly, Rimba Raya is aligned with all seventeen of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These goals range from eradicating poverty and hunger to promoting education, clean energy, and biodiversity conservation. Our participation in this project complements our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, which we proudly joined last year. As signatories, we align our business operations with the ten principles covering human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, reporting on our progress publicly each year.
Our firm has also continued its support of the Mai Ndombe REDD+ Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This project protects over 300,000 hectares of critical bonobo and forest elephant habitat within the Congo Basin. The Congo Basin is the world's second-largest intact rainforest and home to some of the most important wetlands on the planet.
These initiatives directly advance multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and are integral to the kind of impact-driven investment Stanton & Stanton is committed to supporting.
While we are proud of these achievements, we know that sustainability is not a box to tick. It is a continuous journey. True change does not come from what we say, but from what we do. That’s why we will continue to challenge ourselves, rethink the way we operate, and push for lasting, meaningful change in our firm, our industry, and the world.
Our people go beyond the standard
We pride ourselves on being high achievers, fostering a culture of excellence. We are driven by success. And not just for ourselves, but for our wider stakeholders and most importantly you, our client.
